Beard’s Backyard Chicken Farm Jeff Beard | Chesapeake​,​ VA Hi​,​ I’m Jeff! I’m a backyard chicken keeper here in Chesapeake with a flock of about 30 hens raised on our open backyard farm. I started keeping chickens because I wanted fresh eggs I could trust and a little more connection to where my food comes from. I focus on keeping a calm​,​ clean environment where my chickens have room to roam and are cared for every day.
